Since 2006, Scuola Virgilio has been the first and only Italian language school for foreigners in Trapani, the main urban centre west of Palermo Trapani is an ancient city, much older than Milan, Florence or Venice, but it’s a friendly place on a human scale where our students quickly feel at home. For the tourist it’s also an excellent hub for exploring the wonderful treasures that Western Sicily has to offer.

At the core of our curriculum are Scuola Virgilio’s intensive Italian language and culture courses which run from March to November. Over the Spring, Summer and Autumn months the School offers an immersive experience for young people, adults and the not-so-young that includes intensive study of the Italian language as well as other activities such as Italian and Sicilian cooking classes, visits and excursions.

In parallel with our core curriculum all year round the School offers private courses in general or specialised Italian, even at home with the teacher; intensive weeks of Italian for schools and closed groups; remote Italian lessons; preparation for the CELI Italian language exams (including the B1 for citizenship) of which Scuola Virgilio is the only exam centre in the province of Trapani.
