English with Water Sports

Skool Cornwall offers exclusive, adults only, language courses in a unique location. We are based in St. Agnes, a small, picturesque Cornish coastal village in an officially designated Area of ​​Outstanding Natural Beauty. The school itself is situated on the cliffs above a beautiful beach next to the South West Coast Path.

We offer general English programs of 15, 20 and 25 hours per week (according to the specifications of your federal state), combined with afternoon activity programs. English with Water Sports is a popular choice for our clients. Explore our coastline's caves, visit seal colonies, take in the breathtaking views – and breathe in the invigorating sea air. On this program you can choose to surf or kayak - or both. Our guides will ensure you receive individual personal attention so that you can get to grips with new skills or improving your current ones: whether it's getting to your feet on a board, or improving your paddling technique, our partners are the best in the business. 

We offer classes for adults only, and we limit our classes to a maximum of 6 students. Our approach is designed to encourage talk, we analyze language in detail and use audiovisual and textual materials related to the local culture and/or personal interests of our students.

We encourage a practical approach to the English language. We explore grammatical issues and exceptions but believe in the practice of speaking English above all. Our classroom offers the opportunity for close analysis, but it is the afternoon activities that offers opportunity for conversation and solving English language problems; we encourage our clients to use the language while exploring the beautiful, wild Cornish landscape.

There are a range of private accommodation options in St Agnes, but we also offer homestay accommodation and there are also a variety of good private B&Bs or private apartments in the village. 15 hours of general English costs £450 per person, our afternoon program costs £450, and we also offer homestay accommodation for £450. We operate all year round.

There are regular flights to Newquay Airport (NQY) from many European destinations, including Zurich and Dusseldorf. There are also 2 daily connecting flights from London airports directly to Cornwall. Newquay Airport is a 30-minute drive from St Agnes. We also offer transfers from Exeter (EXE) and Bristol (BRS) airports. Alternatively, you can take the scenic route and take the train from London Paddington to Truro.
